Graduate Program in Neuroscience

INITIATION AND DURATION OF GRADUATE STUDIES

The new academic year starts in the fall semester (October 1st) every two years. The GPN is a two-year program consisting of courses and research laboratory rotations.

In the first semester, students take four obligatory courses, two core courses in molecular/cellular and systems neuroscience, a course in methods used to study the nervous system and a course in neurophysiology.

In the second and third semesters the students take elective courses and three month-long laboratory rotations, while the fourth semester is dedicated to a research diploma thesis.

For the successful completion of their studies, the students must take the appropriate courses to accumulate at least 120 ECTS credits (30 ECTS per semester).
